Newcastle and the North East in general had a thriving Illegal rave scene in the 1990s and 2000s.
My aim here is to have a space where the DJs who played at the raves back then, have somewhere to showcase their sets. There was a lot of talented DJs and Producers from all dance genres including Techno, House, Drum and Bass, big Beat, Hip Hop, Break Beat etc.
So If you where a DJ or Producer who played at any of the Free parties back then. I'd love to add your sets to this page. Old recordings or re-recording the tunes you played back then. All dance music genres are welcome, as back then we were a lot more accepting of different music styles.
I will master any sets if it is required just to get the levels right, or if they are from tape I can clean up the audio etc. I also have a full setup so anyone who needs to can use it. after lockdown.
