Born in Cape Town, South Africa and raised on a steady diet of early Norman Cook, Peter Waterman and Steve "Silk" Hurley cuts, JK (Jason Kirk) grew to love and appreciate house music in all it's forms, finding the work of Armand Van Helden, Todd Terry and Masters at Work of particular inspiration for his own musical growth and pursued DJing while still at high school and production in 1994. These artists and DJs inspire his taste in music, which is evidenced in the mixes he produces, here on Mixcloud every week.
Each week showcases a unique blend of musical genres:
Deeper House: Deep, vocal, spacial and more melodic
The Deeper Sound of Africa: African house, Amapiano, Gqom and everything in-between
Discovery: Disco-inspired house, French filtery freq techniques & Ghetto house for good measure
This is Nu-disco: New music inspired by the 70's disco era & Indie
