How would Myrim K describe himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having seen and experienced the Cape Town House scene develop in the early 90’s he became enamoured by Disco & Deep, Soulful House music.
Myrim K ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music influences that he loves best: beautiful synth work, killer backdrops, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks… all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling house beat.
Myrim K is no stranger to the ups-and-downs of the Cape Town music scene being a promoter for many years. Though he loves playing at special events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As a DJ and Promoter, he has found plenty of ways to express himself musically.
