The Don part of the legendary (in their own heads) Vinyl Rights collective, has been DJing regularly for the last 20 years. Through the years his style and music selection has developed from those initial days of hip hop snobbery to today’s view that a good song is a good song no matter what the genre. This quest has led to him stumbling across the Nu-Funk / Ghetto Funk scene and a lot of time is spent trying to introduce people to the delights of this genre.
His open book approach to music and Djing results in an unpredictable but crowd pleasing approach, featuring live mash-ups and remixes, alongside crowd favourites and obscure gems dug from his dusty shelves of vinyl. This has led to him creating the genre of Funky-Hip-Tro-Bass-Step to classify his mixes under. These audio sets have been expanded with the use of carefully selected and edited video, which is manipulated in time with the music to create an Audio Visual extravaganza.
