Moses Baxter is an experimental project that offers fantastic insights into the musicality of everyday life, yet remains accessible thanks to more familiar musical patterns. By rationally organizing the city sounds he collected, and throwing in a touch of imagination, the artist (in the steps of such pioneers as Pierre Schaeffer, Karlheinz Stockhausen or Pierre Boulez) made the effort to show that any given sound, though it may not be produced by a musical instrument, is worthy of interest, a potential tool for artistic expression.
