A native Atlantan, Minxi started her music career as bass
guitarist for an Industrial Punk band. In 2000 she started
studying the techniques of various friends who DJ'ed in
local clubs. Her hometown idol being Yvonne Monet. Minxi
soon realized that mixing for an audience is what she wanted
most in the world to do. In 2009, a friend talked her into
pursuing that goal and became her mentor, DJ Apocalypse 7.
Minxi's influences include: Carl Cox, Goldie, Paul van Dyk,
BT, Sasha, Fatboy Slim, Mr. Hahn and Armin van Buuren.
