Shows done by Marcus Chapman on the now defunct Northern Illinois University college radio station WKDI in DeKalb, Illinois between 1992 and 1995. These shows include full length songs and few talk breaks. "When I started in college radio I was a DJ. I picked the songs and played them from my own record collection. Professional radio is about being a personality as opposed to a DJ, and it's totally different from these college shows. I didn't have any guidance on what I should be doing or how I should sound. I didn't even have headphones for the first year because no one told me I was supposed to. These college shows are not a true reflection of me as a personality like the professional shows that came after this. But these clips do reveal where I was as a record collector, and for someone between 19 & 21 years old, I was far ahead of most people of my generation when it came to knowledge of Funk, R&B, and Jazz from the 1970s. Enjoy"-MC
