After many years of skanking to good drum and bass in the UK, Matty C decided it was time to get behind the decks back in 2011. This started out at house parties and moved on to free parties and bars in the East Midlands.
When arriving in Vietnam in 2014 and realizing the potential of growth in the underground scene, Matty soon got involved with as much as he could. This meant playing at festivals, events and club nights all over the country and with an ever growing passion for reggae music, he spent over 4 years putting on weekly reggae events and built up the collective that is Hanoi Hifi. Matty resides in Saigon now as a proud member of Saigon Dub Station playing all subgenres from Rocksteady to Digital. And with a gap in the market for more Jungle music, Matty C has gone back to his roots bringing the Junglist movement to Vietnam.
