KiMiO_music

My love for electronic music started in 1990 on the dancefloors of Nottingham’s Kool Kat and Venus with Alistair Whitehead and DJ Sy.

That obsession soon led me behind the decks. Playing as Jonny B and as one half of Primary, I DJ’d clubs and bars around Nottingham, held a weekly slot on pirate station Rave FM, and later played as part of the Group Therapy collectives.

After playing at Bedrock in the early 2000s, life took me overseas and away from the decks. What was meant to be a break somehow became a 20-year hiatus.

Then, in the valley at Wilderness Festival, something clicked. I rediscovered my love for electronic music, went home, bought an FLX6 and started all over again.

KiMiO is that journey of rediscovery — digging for music, relearning the craft of the DJ and creating beautiful sets that move through Deep, Tech, Progressive and Electronica.
