John Malcolm aka Johnny aka slamminsalmon is from Waterville, Maine. Co-founder of Heartspace, Johnny started selecting tracks for the Sparkle Mafia parties in the late 2000's. Shortly after, he was introduced to the deep house/techno scene in Portland, and the Beltek family. His passion for the heavy-hitting, heart beat rhythm of house/techno, has nestled him firmly into festivals, raves, and dance music nights in New England. While a house head at the core, John is known to surprise you by showing up on Bass Music lineups with his vibey late night 2step/dubstep & psychedelic bass beats. John Malcolm currently holds a residency at Harry's Hill under the moniker Heartspace, he plays at the Flask Lounge in Portland, and often found on lineups for the Beltek underground parties.
