I've spent over 30 years emeshed in the techno and house music underground. My youth was spent rocking out to classic rock, metal, old school electro, and Miami freestyle (and it shows!), and went full raver in 1992, and a devoted househead by the end of the 90's.

As DJ popgirl23, I got to play my deep and funky house sets across the country and overseas. I won a lot of "Best DJ" awards in my hometown of Portland Maine, and held numerous residencies a week while being a sought-after DJ in the northeastern part of the United States. I mixed with a lot of the big names and found a little fame for myself in that era. Those were fun days.

After all that I needed a break from the partying lifestyle. I stepped away a decade ago and retired the popgirl moniker.

And now I'm back. Older, wiser, and with more responsibilities. No matter what was going on though, I never left the music. I kept on making my own little soundtracks. I've decided to share them with the world again. Enjoy.
