J Byrd is an independent artist who grew up in the mid-west. Had a knack for music since areal early age. My father was into music and had a band of his own. He had a home studio complete with the works. I would always be in there just messing around and acting like a big star. Coming up some of my musical influnces are Guns N' Roses, Nirvana, Sublime, N.W.A., Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, and of course Eminem when he stepped on the scene. I'm now in south Florida, a bit older and a bit wiser. The past 1.5 - 2 years I've taking a serious approach to the music scene. Writing, producing, mixing, and mastering all of my own mateial. Theres a lot of artists today trying to make it big. Of course I would love that, but I'm not trying make "Bubble Gum" music like everybody else you hear. I have a different approach and style than anyone else. If you like what you hear, awesome! If you don't, thats ok too.I do this for me and the Lord who has guided me to and through this journey.
