Jay- Deckstar aka Selekta Elephant Jan of "Rufftone Soundsystem" aka Der Brait Steaks aka Kid Twist!

Jan aka DJ Jay-Deckstar is a Cologne-based DJ and has been collecting vinyl for over 25 years. He started DJing at the age of 15 with some old turntables from his parents.

Shaped by early exposure to rap music and classic Hip-Hop culture, his sound is deeply rooted in the Oldschool and Golden Era tradition.

Today his record collection spans funk, jazz, grime, drum & bass, dubstep, UK sounds and especially everything in carribean music — always focused on selection, feeling, and vinyl craftsmanship. He’s active with the reggae & dancehall- Soundsystem called „Rufftone“.

He’s played bars, small clubs and festivals from Cologne over to Nürnberg to Osnabrück— always straight from the crates.
