He started mixing the beginning of hardcore listening to dream Fm 107.6 .. this lead to Gunnee getting booked for clubs and promoters like gas club, fire ,unity fridge ,barleys coronet with mix mag opening party strawberry moons (weekly resident ) purple turtle camden bie Thursdays,SE1Club and circus circus in Ireland .. but none of this would of happened with out help from illegal radio stations like freak fm originfm .dreamfm and current legal station Love life radio .
Gunnee has played under different variations of his name Gun-e (hardhouse )DJ Gunnee (hardcore) and now the more mature and after 5 year break back as James Gunnee Gunn .. but always by his mates Gunnee .James Gunnee Gun
