J-ÆLT has always had a passion for music. Gaining first-hand experience as a Promoter allowed her to learn the ins and outs of the music industry. After promoting for about a year, she decided to hit the decks and try her hand at DJing.
In little over a year, she DJ’d at some of the top places in DC. She has held residencies at Little Miss Whiskey's, Bonfire, Meridian Pint, Homestead, and Ten Tigers. She headlined at Jimmy Valentine's, spun at DC9, Cafe Saint-Ex, Lost Society, the Beacon Hotel, Zeba Bar, Provision 14, The Rosewood Hotel, Old Engine 12, and Flash.
She has since relocated to Los Angeles, CA.
Her love for feel-good, melodic house shines through her production, creating an aura of warmth that resonates in the soul. Striking, hypnotic female vocals over simple yet expressive bass lines are signature features of her songs. She likens her music to a perfect day: one where the sun is shining, sand is at her feet, and there is a cool, ocean breeze.
