Sam “The Man” Burns has been a fixture in the Washington DC club scene since 1978. The birth of Sam “The Man” Burns happened one night while he was a doorman at The Chapter II, the club’s DJ fell ill. And Sam rose to the occasion…From that unforeseen moment, Sam made it his musical responsibility to make people happy and to forget their everyday woes. Over his 35+ years in the industry Sam has played at numerous clubs in Washington DC, such as L.A. Café, Tiffanies, The Clubhouse, Tracks, Chicagos, State of the Union, LIV, Red, U Street Music Hall, Tropicalia, Flash, ESL and more. Sam also was a integral piece in the legacy of the popular 12’’ Dance Music record store which later became DJ HUT.
