Rui joined the local Namibian DJ scene early in 2019 when asked to take part in an online radio event on Afrika-Boom. He became known as Boris after stepping into the arena with his Techno-flavoured mixes. Geraas oppi Plaas is Namibia’s biggest Psytrance movement and the official host of EARTHDANCE. It was not long until he found himself performing at these events and landed his residency in the meantime while also hitting the top 10 Psytrance charts on Hearthis with his opening set from Stadstomp. While exploring different genres in his early DJ journey, he discovered his sound primarily in Psytrance, Techno and Techno subgenres. The craft of producing and compiling complex sounds into rhythms and melodies that plucks at the soul’s core is what fascinated him since his teen years, eventually leading him into production itself very recently. For the Psytrance scene, he now performs under the alias IUDEX while also planning to lead his productions under the same project.
