Gonzalo Perin (aka ROOT) was born on November 22, 1990, in Buenos Aires - Argentina, from the age of 15 he begins get interested for the minimalist sounds, all start listening Kraftwerk, began to define his style at the age of 16, when he have the first contact to an underground club techno, from there he realized he wanted to be a dj playing dark minimalist sounds. For over 5 years, ROOT has been performed for various electronic music events, organizing several underground parties, spreading their sound and unique style.
Its clearest influences are artists from different labels like M_nus, 8plus, Cocoon, Spectral, Mindshake, Clink, BlaLTD, Underground Resistence, Italobusiness among others.

The current setup of ROOT are two turntables which use vinyls & serato timecodes, Traktor Scratch Pro, Behringer NOX202, and for production Akai MPD24 and Ableton Live.
