Guya was founded by Anna and Luigi in via Por Santa Maria, Florence, in 1970.
The store was mainly based on newborn small companies of the local fashion district. During the eighties the opened the new space in via Calimala because they were inundated by the rich and ongoing waves of creativity which characterized Florence fashion at that time. Only with the nineties, with the entry of the two dau
ghters Benedetta and Guya, the stores expanded their brand selections toward a more international level, trying to collect the most forward indipendent designers from all around the world into little retail spaces.
The two stores are now like uber-chic international laden brand boutiques set in an amazingly unpretentious super italian-fun-loud-messy-family-style atmosphere
