Gary has DJ'd under the name of Gary Senior for over four decades and GSDJ is the brand name for his business. From his early teenage years in the 70s listening to disco and soul/funk classics Gary has accumulated a vast knowledge of music. From the late 70s DJ’ing at youth clubs to 80s ground-breaking clubs like the Hothouse at Mona Lisa’s, Turn-ups and Fascination. 80s All dayers, Smac 19, Steel City G, House parties, Pirate Radio, Gary was there with the early DJ pioneers of the Soul Funk and House scene as we know it today. Alongside other musical disciplines playing in venues across Yorkshire and Derbyshire for several decades Gary continued to play the genres of Soul, Funk, Soulful House, Jazz, Chilled Beats. With 40 years + DJ experience Gary goes back to his roots and plays soulful classics, remixes and breaking new music at select events. Gary also presents Soul Amazing live on Spire-radio.com every first Sunday of the month from April 2025 Its Sunday brunch 11am till 1pm.
