Electronic music has a notorious woman problem, festivals and nightclub bookings are consistently dominated by male DJs.
Some still can’t believe that a woman can do a good male dominated job. But there are a lot of great female producer, DJs and artist out there, many people underestimate them.
We are living in a new era and more and more woman try to find satisfaction and love in music. They work hard to build up something and create a part of that tough business to fight against the prejudices that many men still have.
That's why "Frauengedeck" wants to support and present female DJs in a male dominated industry. The girls behind the decks will play different types of house and techno, but regardless of the style, you will always find them playing vinyl only sets, as they prefer the warmth of analog, and the classic feel of turntables. "Frauengedeck" celebrated at different clubs in Berlin like Wilde Renate, Griessmühle, Farbfernseher and Beate Uwe.
