Colorful outlines of a hidden smile,
A desire to touch the pain;
A thought wanders like shimmering rains,
Sleep avoids the night again.
Dormant longings, a chilling voice,
Foretelling defiance and sorrow,
It was morning, the rain was falling,
The day I left my town
You clutched my fragile body tight,
Tears streamed down your face,
A clenched pain in my chest,
My heart darkened forever.
A cold cave fights the wind,
Maybe a stray sunbeam slips through,
A wisp of smoke gives it some color,
But you are no longer there.
The outlines of that winter night have vanished,
Like a night guard, every sound startles me,
I hoped you would appear from nowhere—.(echo)
a letter, or your hand.
Colorful outlines of a hidden smile,
A desire to touch the pain;
A thought wanders like shimmering rains,
Sleep avoids the night again.
But you are no longer there..
