‘More of a Producer than a DJ’, Fakawi started out as a drummer in high school days, went on to become passionate about music in all forms, had fully fledged lustings over Grunge, Metal and Drum and Bass/Jungle, gradually built up home studio equipment and knowledge and is really only just reaching a point of critical mass now.
Fakawi has had his eye on this thing we call Dubstep a while now and is strangely enough the face behind www.nzdubstep.com, When it occured to him that no such other website existed at the time, he decided why don’t I do it? Without any prior knowledge of how to design/maintain websites or use Photoshop/Illustrator…
Of course along the way there were the inevitable vinyl purchases and a collection of tunes that really do deserve to get played.
