About FGA-Podcast series "If we were asked to name the chief benefit of the house, I should say: the house shelters day-dreaming, the house protects the dreamer, the house allows one to dream in peace." Gaston Bachelard. This is the poetic version but a more radical militant version would be "Houses for People not Profit!" and "Housing is a Human Right!" But how do we want to live? What kind of place do we need to live and make art? These are existential questions we have been dealing with for a number of years. To find answers we draw links between current resistance and activism against the current housing shortage, successful cooperative housing projects, and actions 50 years ago. How can we realise what the architect Jaap Bakema in 1970 called: “a wide range of spatial quality” and “joyful-dwelling associations”?
