The European integration process has started almost 70 years ago, and the EU is impacting our lives in many different ways. The European parliament elections are approaching. Between the 23th and 26th of May, all European citizens who have reached voting age according to national regulations will be asked to cast their ballot. Important decisions are laying ahead. But how will this affect us in our everyday lives? Who are we electing and what can the EU actually do? In this podcast we will unravel the complex institution called “European Union”. Its beginnings, goals, present structure and the law-making process.
