DJ Elusive

I grew up in Orlando, Florida, and also spent some formative years on the Eastern Shore of MD. I began learning to scratch when I was 13, using the turntable on top of my cheap stereo. By 16, I’d gotten some entry-level turntables and a cheap mixer and was DJing parties, a quinceañera or two, and making Hip Hop and Freestyle mixtapes like those I was introduced to by my cousins and friends from NYC. By 20 I was aspiring to emulate the turntablism gods of the time, like the Piklz, the X-men, the Beat Junkies, DJ Craze, etc.

Unfortunately, life happened, and turntablism had to go on the back burner and stayed there from 2001 till 2026. So here I am, 2 months after getting back into it, dropping the next tape in the Flashback series I began working on years ago.

I’ll be working on re-creating the earlier volumes soon, and creating new ones. I may eventually drop tapes from other genres as well. Hope y’all enjoy my labor of love!
