Dynamite Soul! The men behind this name are the Leipzig Funksoulbrothers Plug and Mr. Edd. The DJs got to know each other in 2006 and immediately discovered their shared interest in the roots of rap music. They favor the classics of James Brown, Curtis Mayfield or Ray Charles.
But this doesn't mean that there is only Funk and Disco-Sound as other music genres - such as R&B, Soul, Ska, Rocksteady, Latin-Boogaloo, Jazz or Rare Grooves - also belong to their repertoire. Not uncommonly nearly forgotten treasures are revived on the turntables and together with modern tunes of funk they always raise the roof.
Like in a match of merciless ping-pong-players, Plug & Edd pass the records to each other. This results in a mixture that is - as the name suggests - purely "Dynamite"
