Originally from Chicago, IL, Dwelvan developed a love for music & dance at a young age. In high school Dwelvan had the pleasure of traveling to and singing Classical music in Italy as well as Germany, Austria and most of Eastern Europe. At the age of 17 he enrolled at Millikin University as a vocal performance major. He was immediately cast in ANYTHING GOES and THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO in the same semester. He then realized his passion for acting on the musical theatre stage. Since earning his B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Millikin, David has garnered rave reviews for his roles in productions of THE WIZ, BIG RIVER, HOT MIKADO, SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, CATS, and originated the roles of Billy Bones & Job Anderson in Marc Robin's TREASURE ISLAND: A MUSICAL ADVENTURE as well as Thomas A. Dorsey in the Bailiwick Playhouse World Premiere of GEORGIA TOM: THE FATHER OF GOSPEL MUSIC.
