Brooklyn, United States

Garaidh Dušek has been an avid music collector since picking up his first record, AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell” in 1981. After a successful run as an underground Dj in San Francisco, he moved to Europe, quickly discovering the wealth of material being produced there, in particular, hip hop. He has since amassed what is arguably the most linguistically comprehensive hip hop library in this part of the world. A Brooklyn resident since 2001, Dušek feels that NYC is a perfect audience for his music. “All these cultures are represented here. By sharing this music, we share an understanding. That’s what hip hop, originally, was about.”

His current residency is Signal F.M., a weekly radio show every Friday from 7-9pm E.S.T. on radioalcabira.com and also streaming on www.3lifeproductions.com under the Signal F.M. tab. Tune In!
