Damn, another RIP. This time for an emcee, father, son, and Twitter legend who I was lucky to randomly collaborate with in 2012, Lorde Jones Scorcese. Recently he'd been supporting my push to get the #CanComHipHopShowSched to the world. One of the only guys who'd retweet it, even though he was in USA, didn't do a radio show, and had nothing to gain from it. Just the kind of guy using the internet the way I wish people would, to share and support each other. One less person genuinely building this community by sharing their energy and positivity.
Id posted some promo for the Xmas ep joking about how many times rappers mention Henney in their christmas raps, and Lorde Jones @'d me saying my mix was moot if it didn't include 'Henney No Mix". Days later I played it on NYE and shouted him out there. A couple weeks later he's gone.
He had so much music dropping soon. All I can do is spin it and donate.
