I started as a street Dj in 1979 I was 16 in Buffalo, NY. Hip Hop,Cutting ,scratching and Disco was just starting in Buffalo. In 1979 I was doing a house party on some BSR turntables and a DJ from NYC DJ Wizard (he was attending Buffalo State) came to the party and he showed me a little scratching. I was hooked!! Had a lot of DJ battles in the the early 80's before they were called battles. I worked in a lot of clubs in my years and did some remixes for WBLK and WUFO in Buffalo, NY in the early 80's. I had a great time back in my prime DJ days! I still do some Homecomings, Proms and weddings occasionally. I still enjoy playing at my age on the 1's and 2's. :-) To my young DJ's just a little advice. It's all about entertaining and knowing your audience. It's your energy and the attention to detail that takes your audience on the musical journey. DJ Wolf-D
