Listening History

Totnes, United Kingdom
Mr Bee started out DJing Hip Hop and Acid House in 1989, putting on local raves in the Civic Hall and Pavilion in Totnes, Devon, UK. He also collaborated with the Interzone collective during the early ‘90s and became one of the regular free party DJs in the south west at that time. Often to be found playing in fields or quarries full of ravers, and a fair few house parties too. His style varied from House to Hardcore, and he was also immediately full on to Drum and Bass when it began to arrive on the scene.
More recently Ben has been running a regular radio show slot revisiting some of dem classic tunes on Soundart Radio, broadcasting out of the old Dartington Hall college site.
This archive of strictly vinyl mix tapes (as most were from cassettes made during the 90s) was recently digitised and remastered by Chris Bagust at Marmalade Masters for your listening pleasure.
