Amateur DJ since the mid-90s. I started mixing vinyls in private parties when I fell in love with the hypnotic sounds of 90s progressive. I chose the name DJ Flanger back in 1996, inspired by the swirling guitar effect my brother used — I loved how it could bend reality. Over time, my sets evolved into minimal techno, gabber, and hardcore. In the early 2000s I switched to digital using CDJs, exploring house and more commercial vibes, and also started producing my own progressive and techno tracks. Some of that work is still out there on Spotify under the name Nested Loop, but I’ve always continued as DJ Flanger.

After taking a long break to focus on my full-time job as a computer engineer, I recently returned to the decks — back with my old turntables and a DVS setup. I never lost my first love for 90s progressive, but today I just go with the moment, mixing anything from 80s synths to modern EDM and techno.
