It was early in Early 1982 when Robe A.K.A Dj Black Apache began showing interest in music, listening to all genres (Latin, Pop, Reggae and Jazz) and the Dj's at the local radio stations sparked the fire. His first name was Dj Pink Panther because of his admiration to the cartoon character, later he changed his name to Dj Fantasma "Dj Ghost" because of his slender built. On his early Dj days he was playing on kids birthday parties in which he was earning just about 3 dollars. His equipment consisted on a boom box with double tape decks and a shoe box full of cassettes tapes. In 1986 he was recruited by Dr. Elliott a well-known and popular DJ in the city, who recognized El Fantasma's talent for such rudimentary equipment. El Fantasma started playing for a more mature crowd traveling to many parts of the city with Dr. Elliott and the SSS sound system.
