Deetec was born in Edinburgh, his love for music comes from his parents and extended family, he came from a family of established disco DJs (back in the day) and rap artists. His love for dance music, techno in particular was born during the 80s when he listened to his mums high energy tunes and bands like Depeche mode, Eurythmics and New Order.

A big part of his music has to be credited to his friend and pure legend Dave Angel, at an early age Deetec and his friends would travel the length of the country just to go and support Dave and in time got to know him, Deetec still remains good friends with Dave Angel and visits his studio (Rotation Records) a few times a year and hopes to complete a remix of one of Dave's tunes in the near future. At this time Deetec continues to work hard in the studio and pushing the boundaries of his music, so watch this space and be part of the future.
