There are only so many hours in a day, so I do very much appreciate when people take the time to indulge in the music I upload! ... Glad to hear you enjoyed the thanksgiving holiday ... As you mentioned, this kind of Japanese music is perfect for meditation, as the sounds are very soothing and relaxing ... Japan has a very unique culture, and much of the music in this set is a reflection of that culture, which is of course very different to Europe and the United States ... I'm a huge fan of East Asian zen and chillout music, and I am glad quite a few people have embraced what this set has to offer ... Cheers Shep. Hope it's not anything too serious, and you'll be back on top form soon mate ... I guess it's that time of year, and the sudden change in the weather. I was feeling pretty rough myself a few weeks ago, but managed to snap out of it ..... Glad this set made you feel a bit better! ... As you know, I've done a few chillout sets before, but nothing like this, with strictly Japanese music. I've been planning to do this set for ages, but just never got round to it ... Mystical is definitely a fitting word to describe this music. It's very different from the kind of chillout / new age music made by European artists, but that difference in style is what makes it so charming. Sweeping electronic soundscapes blended with traditional Japanese instruments. It really is a match made in heaven!! Thanks again for tuning in mate, and I'm very happy both yourself and Mrs Shep enjoyed the journey!! There will certainly be more of these from me in the future!!! Good morning Tim! ... I just woke up and read your comment. First of all, I hope your day wasn't too terrible mate ... but I know the feeling of the "daily grind" ... I am incredibly happy to hear that this selection of music has been able to relax you and make your day a little less tedious ... To be honest, I've been feeling pretty stressed myself lately, so have been listening to a lot of this music to make me feel relaxed. When I listen to this music, not only am I blown away by the quality of the production, but more importantly, I feel totally relaxed and "at peace". No wonder this style of music is often referred to as "healing music" !! ... I am so happy you enjoyed this session, and it is a great feeling to know that my selection has improved somebody's mood to such an extent! ... I'm also happy your missus enjoyed this set ... Living in Asia does make you appreciate this kind of music, so I can fully relate with that feeling! ... My wife is Chinese and she enjoys mostly classic Chinese songs and some traditional Chinese music. She also likes quite a lot of Japanese music, but she isn't a fan of dance music, so I laughed when you said your missus hates a lot of the music you like! I know that feeling!! 😂😂 ... My wife really liked this set, and she liked some of the other chillout sets I did a while back ... I mentioned in another comment that I think this is probably one of my best sets so far, so I am really happy you enjoyed it so much. Comments such as yours make it all worthwhile ... I will definitely be doing more like this in the future, because I love this kind of music, and I've collected quite a lot of it over the years ... My condolences on your dismissal from the force, but you really were playing with fire making strappa mutande sessions at the police station!!!! 😂😂😂😂 ..... Because you weren't concentrating on your job, a crook managed to escape from his cell, and the entire police force had to be mobilised for the manhunt! ... Haha. So now you have become a "poliziotto storto" 😂😂😂 .... Lol yet again it is easy to refute your claims! This is nothing like an "oriental strappa mutande!" ...... Even if I played 160 BPM hardcore techno, you would still claim "ah Steve this is a strappa mutande session!" ..... Everything I play, you say the same! Haha ..... The ball is in your court now my dear crooked cop. Myself, Shep and many others are waiting eagerly for your strappa mutande session, but perhaps you don't have it in you 😉 ... Maybe it's all talk and no action 😉 ..... Hahahaha. Joking aside now ..... Yes I think option 2 of your multiple choice comments is preferable. It's good to change the style sometimes and hear different sounds ... The Mount Fuji experience was amazing, and I can honestly say it is the most beautiful and mesmerizing place I have been in the world ... I've been to the top of the Eiffel Tower, I've seen the skyline of Hong Kong lit up at night, and lots of other fabulous places ... all fantastic experiences, but Mount Fuji beats all of them for me ... Most likely because it is nature. Paris and Hong Kong are manmade, but Mount Fuji is the work of nature, so to see such a gigantic mountain covered in snow in mid winter, and watch the sun setting while listening to relaxing Japanese music ... that is the kind of experience that money cannot buy! ... If I went to Las Vegas and won a million dollars, it still would not be as satisfying or fulfilling as the Mount Fuji experience ... I guess it's similar to the way people feel when they watch the sun setting over the sea in Ibiza on a summer's night, while listening to balearic chillout music .... no matter how much money you have, nothing compares to those encounters with nature (for me anyway) ... Haha ... Thanks again for having a listen, and I am really looking forward to catching up with your latest set ... Your chakras are now fully aligned ... and the sofas I ordered from you are now fully aligned in my living room 😄 ... but I caught a mouse living inside the cushion of one of them 😠 ... I can assure you I didn't order complimentary rodents with my leather sofa. Grrrrr 😠 ..... Mind you, the poor little fella looked hungry after his ordeal being shipped across the world ... so I fed him some stefado 😉 ... That's right. He loved a bit of Greek casserole.
