Darren Hamilton is a 19 year old DJ based in the Scottish Highland capital of Inverness. Within a year of his first performance he has grabbed the attention of numerous promoters and respected DJ’s within the city that have been quick to show their support for the future talent. A leading example in the new generation of House DJ’s, Darren is one of few young DJ’s who can open a night as good as he can finish it. It’s this kind of key knowledge that won him the SoundClash DJ Competition earlier in 2014, when Darren was chosen to support Sub Club and iAM resident Kappa from Glasgow. This led to Inverness Dance venue Karma Lounge to bring him on as an opening Resident throughout the summer. It’s here that Darren has begun to adapt and flourish as a DJ, building a deeper understanding and respect for the music he plays. With plans to work on his own productions and with future performances already booked at the likes of Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, Darren Hamilton is the one to watch
