Dante Davinci born James “JJ” Vezina has been immersed in music since he was a young boy on a journey to “Discover what makes us who we are”. The raw expressive act of making music has always been at the core of his influence and motivation. His Pen Name comes from two prolific characters: Dante Alighieri the Italian poet famous for The Divine Comedy, an allegorical account of a journey through Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise and Leonardo da Vinci who has often been described as the most diversely talented person ever to have lived. Dante Davinci, a talented MC, singer/song writer, producer and DJ is most popularly known as one half of the internationally known Record Label Upsetta Records. Their primary success thus far has been in the reggae world but have recently begun to expand to new genres and creative outlets.
