Marco Bongiovanni, aka DJ Markino, is a pioneer of the Italian underground scene and founding member of the cult band Gaznevada. From the post-punk wave of the 80s to the rise of Italian house in the 90s, his productions reached the Billboard USA and UK Top 40, earning him collaborations with legends like Paul Oakenfold and Larry Levan. With over 160 official releases and tracks like King of Rock surpassing 3 million streams on Spotify, Markino’s journey has taken him from Bologna to Beijing, where he became resident in some of the city’s most iconic clubs, and further to Dubai, Berlin and beyond. After years of hiatus, Gaznevada returned in 2022, signing with Warner Music Italy and reigniting their legacy with fresh productions and live shows. Recently, Markino performed at Berghain Berlin, the world’s techno temple, confirming his timeless energy behind the decks. Today he blends House, Afro House and Melodic Techno, delivering deep and emotional journeys on the dancefloor.
