DJ TURK was introduced to house music back in the late 80's by the hot mix 5. But there was a dj, who was friends with turk's older brother, and that dj was DJ Rockin Reggie. He was the one that introduced the 1200's to turk and what djing is all about. Turk said this was something he really wanted to do. So he talked his dad into buying him a mixer and a set of turn table (they wasn't 1200's but they had pitch controls). And got him a job, so he can buy records (Import Records) which he still have today.
