Born and raised here in the live Music Capital of the World, Austin Texas !!!
During my childhood I can recall hearing my Father singing and Grooving to his Old School Reggae and Ska tunes while attending to his household chores every Saturday morning with the scent of Lemon Pledge throughout our house .
That's when I began my love for music and collecting vinyl at a young age. Raised on Motown Music Era, Southern Blues and of course my Father's Homeland Jamaican Music from Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff , Desmond Dekker , Toots and The Maytals and many more others.
Then in 1981 I heard this tripped out tune being played on the local Community Station KAZI 88.7 FM being mixed live by Da Genie with Planet Rock . So I called the Station to find out who it was , it was KRAFTWERK Numbers that blended perfectly with Africa Bambatta's Planet Rock Jam.
Now that's what got me hooked on that Electronic sound . I can vividly recall purchasing my first 12" Record at Sound Warehouse
