Eric Ramos (DJ Ramos, Queens NY) has been around the dance music scene since the early ’80. Initially inspired by music of the legendary Jellybean Benitez, DJ Ramos frequented nightclubs such as the Funhouse, Roxy, and Paradise Garage. There he was introduced to genres such as Classics Soul, Funk, Electro, and later early House Music. He then incorporated these sounds into his sets and as a mobile DJ. Ramos later on went into the recording industry and worked alongside such greats as Patrick Adams, Todd Terry, KRS-One and Norty Cotto at Power Play Studios in Queens. The late ‘80’s also made way for the opportunity for Ramos to tour with the pioneering freestyle band, TKA along with their producer and manager Joey Gardner. In the mid-nineties DJ Ramos teamed up with Noel Chase of Request Models and had a traveling underground party where he played house music in venues such as the old Construction Zone, Club Kulu and the infamous China Club.
