Carlos Berrios was raised in New York listening to and being inspired by the music of the late 60's and 70's. In his teens he learned the craft of audio editing with a razor blade and an edit block leading to a successful career as a sought after special effects editor for Major and Independent record companies alike.
Later as part of the "Hit Squad" editing team in New York, Carlos worked with some of the great artists of the time, including Duran Duran, Aerosmith, Nona Hendrix, Grand Master Pooba and legendary Hip Hop producers like Jazzy Jay (Zulu Nation), Mark Kamins (Madonna), Mantronix and others, culminating in several record deals and another successful career as a re-mixer and record producer.
After scoring several hits Carlos teamed up with songwriter/ choreographer, and future filmmaker Franc. Reyes (Empire, Illegal Tender, The Ministers) to write and produce Lisette Melendez's revolutionary Billboard Top 40 hit single "Together Forever" for Russell Simmon's
