Originally from Brooklyn, NY, DJ Playboy has always had a strong passion for music of all genres. Growing up hearing a diverse mix of soca and calypso from his Grenadian parents and early 90s hip hop from his older sister (& MTV/BET) his eclectic love of music developed. From taking his sister's cassette tapes to eventually buying his own vinyl he began taking a stab at DJing himself in 2001
