Lino Westerink, also known as Jay Are, was born in 1990. So with his 21 years of age he’s definitely one of the youngest talents in the Dutch party scene. Apart from his striking appearance, Jay Are is well known for his energetic dj sets that contain a wide variety of musical styles. Be it tech-, latin- or soulful house, progressive or electro beats, Jay Are knows how to rock any dance floor.
When Jay Are reached the age of 17 he decided to buy his first DJ set. Then it went fast with performances throughout the whole country, culminating in the summer festival tours in 2010 and 2011. With his 19 years Jay Are was the youngest artist in the Dance Valley 2010 line up. Besides two gigs at Dance Valley 2010 and 2011, Jay Are also performed at Loveland, Sneakerz festival, Fusion of Dance and Rockit Open Air. At Rockit Open Air 2011 he was also the youngest artist in the line up with a age of 20 years.
