DJ Hot Boi was created while serving in the US Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. During war, he found music to be the best therapy to get through the hardships of a deployment. He began creating a mixture of songs and putting them on disc, and other soldiers took a liking to his CD's. This sparked an interest in him to start DJing. He would later go on to spin for fellow soldiers while serving in Afghanistan and Iraq at the MWR facilities for morale boosting. Catering to such a diverse crowd he found his knack for music.

With ten years of dedicated service to his country, he returned home and began to DJ at local pubs and bars in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area. DJ Hot Boi's desire rests in the nightlife and special events where he brings music to the masses live and direct. He is a veteran with a wide variety of experience, having played nightclubs, weddings, adult private parties, birthdays, quinceañeras, and teen/children events.
