Since getting his first set of Technics in the Summer of '92, DJ Earl-E has been blessing dance floors, rocking radio airwaves, and creating beats in his own fashion. His analog approach employs heavy use of samples, found sounds, and turntable experimentation, with proper respect to the culture of hip-hop and the turntable pioneers. He is a Disc Jockey. A Samplist. An Audiophile and Artist. He pulls from an extensive vinyl collection of hip-hop, reggae, house, funk, soul, jazz and more for his mixes... He also plays a mean harmonica.
Since striating his career in his hometown of Iowa City on KRUI 89.7 FM, his mixing has been heard at legendary venues across the U.S., with residencies at clubs like First Ave. in Minneapolis, to guest spots like Project Blowed in LA., and clubs in Netherlands and France. He has released several instrumental projects, as well as producing and DJing for various artists including Laurnea', MC Prose, Yedr Roc'ski, Monstroe, Pawz One, and more.
