Alternative music and video DJ from Rochester NY, 20 year residency at Vertex nightclub. I spin a wide variety of alternative, EBM, goth, industrial, 80's and some techno/trance depending on the mood. Being a "small town" alternative DJ means you have to try to appeal to an esoteric crowd. I enjoy the challenge of keeping the dance floor moving over my usual 5 hour Saturday night sets.
I am primarily a "live" DJ which means I play what makes the people in front of me happy. I'm fortunate that I work in a club that specializes in alternative music so generally that means I get to play music I like, although not always exactly what I would play just for myself. I view it as a collaborative art form, one that works best when the DJ and the crowd are riding the same wave.
