1978: began mixing by overdubbing vocals on tape recorders- do wop. Listened to KRLA and collected Oldies but Goodies looking for songs advertised on 72 Hits of the 50's. Crate digging at 8 years old.
1979: First mix tapes were Funk and Soul compilations on 8 track. DJ'd at school. Listened to 1580 KDAY.
1982: Stoner Metal collection (KMET)
1983: Started mixing cassettes with pause buttons. West Coast Pop Lock mixes.
1985: Started mixing on 1200s- learned professional mixing from Ray Seville, Flyte Tyme Productions. House, Club, RnB.
1985-96 House parties, Halls, mixtape circuit. 1987 DC, Go Go collection started. 1990 Chicago, House- learned to mix with TR 303
1993 Started collecting Dance Hall Reggae, learned Riddim and Sound Clash mixing.
96-97 Internship at 89.9 FM KMOJ became Prime Time, Friday and Saturday, evening mixshows bringing Hip Hop culture to the Twin Cities.
