Originating out of Houston, TX in the early 1990s playing techno and eventually progressing on to trance, hard house and psy-trance before going on hiatus and then switching to downtempo. In addition to dj’ing in the 90s, DJAlchemy managed numerous Houston bands such as I-45, Secret Sunday and Dethkultur BBQ to name a few. 2003 is when the change in formats came about in his style after being inspired by a compilation (spun off the Please Rewind Play Again series) called Chill Room released on his record label WE Records. In the late 2000s house and techno slowly crept back into his repertoire when helping form Discotronix and joining Hypersonic Radio. Chill Beats and Ambient Camping were still the main priorities until 2019 when he decided to take a break from chillin’ out and join forces with the JIGGLE crew in Austin, TX to help promote booty bass, disco house, future funk and party breaks. DJAlchemy’s current focus will be on late night future jazz.
